How To Get Excited About Life
Here are just some thoughts I had in mind in regard to this blog and how to experience travel and life in a fresh new way, that will hopefully help you stir up excitement in your life.
This blog gives advice and tips to make your travel experiences more fun, memorable, and most importantly, easy to plan. I typically share experiences I’ve had personally traveling nationally and internationally and other resources you could leverage to inspire your travel plans.
But lately, I have been feeling a bit disconnected from the blog. I know I don’t share much of myself here because I want it to be as resourceful as possible and not make it about me but I’ll share a little so that you get where I’m coming from.
Currently, I work from 8:30-5:30+. I say + because, like most of you, I don’t get off at 5 on the dot. In my career currently, working late is the “norm”.

I am not in a position to travel as much as I would like to, so getting out of town and having somewhere to go every weekend is not in the cards at this moment but is definitely something I aspire for in the future.
In order to write this blog, I have to start my day early, sometimes at 5 am or stay up late in order to work on these awesome posts. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy speaking about traveling and eating, those are legit my passions and my 2 favorite things to do. However, when I come back from my 9-5+, the thought of coming back on the computer again to write about tours alone does not really excite me nor is it reflective of fully where I am in life currently.
I don’t want to get off at 7 pm, to then come home and write about things that I myself am not always able to do. I’ve really been sitting down and thinking about why I created this blog and what exactly I want to do with it. I think it goes back to who I am as a person.
I love experiencing life and I do this by going to new places, eating new food, meeting new people, and constantly going to places that are not always familiar to me. That is what sparks joy in me. However, lately, just writing about tours alone is not enough.
1. Why Have I Lost Excitement?
I really like when I get to share posts that show where I have been in hopes of making your life much easier. But there is a disconnect, one with just writing only about tours alone and two, it’s not sustainable.
I don’t want to come on this blog and make you believe that life can only be lived when you are traveling or doing something outside of yourself. I think social media is good to help inspire you to see what you can do and give you a vision of what you could aspire to have.
Social media in itself is not bad. It can open you up to places, people, and ideas that could change your life for the better. However, I feel that it has trained us (or maybe just me) to believe that you’re only living when you’re traveling or going to the most exotic places or doing the craziest things. That, THAT is truly living.
But I would think that most people’s lives are not like that every day. Most of us get up, go to work take care of ourselves and those we love, and do it all over again the next day.
We may travel, but it’s not always an everyday experience. Does that mean you are not living and you should not be happy with your life where you are?
2. How Do You Stay Excited in Life?
I want to inspire you to travel the world because of the major benefits you gain as a person I want to help make life more fulfilling and delicious, and have you make memories that last.
But, I also want you to find joy and happiness where you are in life and create your dream life where you are right now.
As I said, I work like most people, and for now, I am not able to travel all the time internationally. However, I desire, to still enjoy life to the fullest where I am and continue to grow and get excited about life. I want to see this blog, not as a chore and as just something to write about because I want to stay consistent, but something that has meaning.

For me, I believe this looks like really using the city I live to my advantage and exploring where I am. Being outside is my thing and I like to create new experiences where I am and abroad.
I am currently in Dallas, and the city is still very new to me. I would like to share more about things you can do in the city, whether you live here or are visiting, that you could enjoy. It could be going to a number of places to eat that are really good or creating a picnic in one of the beautiful parks in the city.
I like adventure and fun, and will continue to share those things, but also, how can we take the things that seem so mundane and make them avenues to get excited about our lives again where we are? How can I help you turn what is typical for you into something new and fresh?
I want to motivate you to experience life as it is now, where you are, and still feel fulfilled. I want to also help you dream and know that great adventure awaits you as you step out of your comfort zone.
How can you use the environment that you have to create a life you don’t feel like you have to run away from?
3. How Can I Make Myself More Excited?
That’s for me too. I don’t want to be swept up in the lie that life is better ‘out there” and that you can’t find joy and fulfillment where you are now.
Seasons will change and the way my life looks will change. In the future, I may have a job that allows me the ability to travel more, and or. hopefully, this blog will give me greater opportunities to experience new foods, activities, and places that I never knew existed. Tryna get shpaid for my writing 🙂
I want to go to places and tell you from an honest place how it is so you can make informed decisions about what you should do for your travel needs.

I want you to feel empowered that one day you can do it too, without feeling defeated and believing life is not starting unless you are doing it like what you see on social media.
I love sharing places to eat and where to find good food, but I know lots of you reading are like me and you want to eat good food all the time, not just on the weekends or when you travel. I can share foods and recipes I have for the week while working my full-time job. Why not have restaurant-quality meals at home that don’t take long to make?
This to me is a simple way of living a life of quality and “adventure” right where you are.
I can share those quick recipes with you or more things I do in my city that can help give you ideas on what you can do as well.
Just wanted to share where I was at and what’s been on my mind lately, but in hopes of empowering you to get excited about your life right now, where you are.
