This post is about the perfect girl’s weekend in savannah guide that will help make planning your group trip a breeze.
Girl’s Weekend in Savannah
My friend wanted to go to Savannah for her bday and asked me to help plan. We drove from Atlanta to Savannah in 4 hours and were able to spend two awesome days in this beautiful city. When planning for this trip, I researched like crazy where to stay, what to eat, and what to do. I put everything we did and even more things we didn’t think about doing.
This guide will help you plan your girls trip with ease and allow you to design the type of experience you and your friends are looking for! Savannah treated us so well and I know you’ll enjoy it too! Let’s get into creating the best girls weekend in Savannah Georgia!
1. Where to Stay in Savannah, Ga
For the perfect girls weekend in savannah, where you and your girls stay needs to match the energy! Regarding location, I would suggest staying close to or in the historic district. This is downtown Savannah and where most of your activities will take place. This is great because staying close by will help reduce your Uber costs and planning so you can get to your activities on time and stress-free!
Cottage Style Airbnb
For my friend’s birthday weekend, we decided to stay at a cottage-style AirBnB. This home was in a quiet neighborhood so you’re far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but close enough to access it quickly in 5 minutes! The house was very cute and had lots of character!
It had 2 bedrooms with 2 beds, perfect for all 4 of us. It also had a bathroom, kitchen, washer, dryer, and wifi! We had no problems with the host which was plus. We were able to get in and check out easily.
There is street parking available, but make sure to read the signs to know what side of the street you can park on.
I would highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a nice place to stay in Savannah for your girl’s trip!
- Price- $189 a night

Magnolia House in Downtown Savannah
Here is another suggestion for an Airbnb. If you’re planning a huge weekend for more of your friends, this would be an ideal option.
This place can have up to 8 people in the house. It has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and wifi. It’s a 15-minute walk from the historic district so it could be nice to walk with all you’re friends to have brunch downtown!
- Price- $232

Hotel: Riverstreet Inn
If I had to pick a hotel to stay in that has a great location, view, and southern charm, this would be the one. The river street inn is a popular boutique hotel in Savannah. It’s conveniently located on river street, the most popular strip in Savannah. This strip has many boutique stores, bars, restaurants, and everything you’ll close by to enjoy your stay.
This is an ideal hotel if convenience is your goal and maybe just you and a girlfriend are making the trip. But if you are your babes want to ball out, why not get a cute suite that faces the city?

2. Where to Eat in Savannah
You already know I couldn’t plan this trip without having delicious food options. I looked all over the internet to find out what was good and presented some options for my friend to choose from. She really wanted a nice place for brunch and an upscale space for her bday dinner.
Before I get into the list, let me just say 2 things. Making reservations was not easy in Savannah. Things may have changed since I went, but I would try to call ahead and everything was booked! So, plan what you want for your dinners and make reservations early!
With that being said, the food in Savannah is delicious! Hands down. There was nothing that we ate that tasted bad. Absolutely nothing. For my food lovers, this is a great location to have a culinary experience. If food is a priority for your girls weekend in savannah, you can’t go wrong here.
Collin’s Quarter Downtown Savannah (Brunch)
To start the birthday weekend off right, we went to Collin’s Quarter for brunch. You don’t have to make a reservation. All 4 of us showed up and were seated immediately. We came here 2x during our stay because the food was that good and the service matched.
Our waiter was very enthusiastic about sharing with us what was on the menu and making great recommendations. He really added to our experience.
I would highly recommend the banana french toast foster, the CQ grits shaskusha, and the swine time beni. I also had a delicious matcha latte with oat milk that was perfect to get the day started.
This restaurant is conveniently located because it’s in the center of the historic district. You can check out their menu here!
Location: 151 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401
Noble Fare (Dinner)
If you’re looking for a personal chef-style experience for your girls weekend in Savannah, this would be a great option. Imagine you and your friends trying a tasting menu that’s personally designed by the head chef and tailored to your specifications. You can reserve this tasting by calling the chef here.
This menu is only available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, But if it’s a long weekend trip, the private dinner would be ideal. If I had known about this before, I would have recommended our group to try this! Ugh such a carefree and unique night.
Some recommendations to try whether you do the tasting menu or not is the braised beef short rib and diver scallions. The menu changes seasonally and sometimes daily! (picture above is not noble dare, it’s a restaurant that had the best Nashville hot chicken and I can’t remember the name of it)
Location: 321 Jefferson St, Savannah, GA 31401
Common Thread
We ended up going here for the birthday dinner. It’s a beautiful restaurant located in a 2-story home.
Each “room” has its own look and feel and feels very upscale. I would describe this place as fine dining.
Fine dining.. okay now, let’s get into it. The portion sizes are tiny… We didn’t expect this and went to another place to eat more. This is not the place where you’ll order one thing and be full. You and your girls should order multiple plates and share. The food portions are small, but they pack a punch. I had some ravioli and sampled some squid ink pasta from a friend. I could taste every ingredient they listed for the dish! See their current menu here.
On the flip side, the service was kind of meh. Our waiter was not the best, she would not give us appropriate descriptions of our orders and charged us incorrectly. I’m honestly hoping the service has gotten better, so I didn’t want to completely remove this from the list.
Location: 122 E 37th St, Savannah, GA 31401
3. Beach to Visit in Savannah
Tybee Island
Tybee Island is an island in Savannah that is just 20mins from downtown. It’s made up of multiple Savannah beaches such as Little Tybee beach, Back River Beach, North, and South Beach.
We didn’t go to the lighthouse but still had a great time relaxing on the shores and looking at the crisp blue water. For you and your girls, I would highly recommend renting lounge chairs from local vendors.
We went in April, and the weather was nice but hawt. Make sure to bring cash, we paid close to $80 for 3 chairs and tents.
Make a day at the beach if your goal is to relax, relate release. Bring some goodies. We brought some cheeses, bread, fruit, and champagne to munch on.
If water activities are your thing, North Beach has various water sports you could try. Learn how to surf with the Tybee Surf Lessons company here or consider taking a custom kayaking tour with Sea Kayaking Georgia!
You can really customize your trip and there are lots of ways to make your beach day memorable for you and your friends.
4. Spas in Savannah
For the best girls weekend in Savannah, going to the spa is for sure something to try. I found 2 spas that can easily accommodate groups of women and can create an itinerary with you for your special weekend.
Sweet Water Spa
Located conveniently in the historic district, this is would be a great southern-style spa to try to make your girls trip the most relaxing. They easily accommodate groups. For example, they can do up to 7 massages at 1 time and 4 facials. Depending on the size, it’s easily customizable to create the experience that you all are looking for.
A massage to try could be a hot stone and sweet feet massage, and why not add a facial while you’re at it?
