Perfect Breakfast in Uptown Dallas
Breakfast Restaurants in Uptown Dallas
I am going to give you a list of places that overall sell breakfast and brunch choices in uptown. I’m also going to share places that offer specific food options such as tacos, sandwiches, and others.
I will link their menus, IG pages, and locations so you can easily make your plans.
Bread Winners Cafe and Bakery
Bread Winners is an uptown favorite. They offer a diverse menu of breakfast staples.
They give you that everything is bigger in Texas feel. They offer inside seating areas and an outside patio. If the weather is good, sitting outside is always a great option. They do take large parties if you’re coming with a group, but I would call ahead to make a reservation.
Not only can you eat from their menu, but you can also enjoy their freshly baked goods from their bakery.
Foods to try: If you’re looking for a savory breakfast, try the fried chicken and waffles(the waffle is a jalapeno, bacon, and cheddar waffle), their breakfast taco option and for something sweet, bite into their warm cinnamon role and have a frozen upside down mimosa.
Location: 3301 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX 75204
San Martin Bakery
Voted the best brunch in uptown Dallas, San Martin is a staple when getting breakfast/ brunch when you visit uptown. It’s a restaurant inspired by Guatemalan cuisine.
You can try different foods from their vast menu, but the favorite is their bakery. They make fresh sweet and savory Latin-inspired pastries and fresh bread daily.
Once you’ve experienced the baked goods and you’re craving more, you can have them shipped to wherever you are nationwide. A little piece of Dallas can be brought to your front door
This restaurant offers outside seating on its gorgeous patio so you can take in the sights while you enjoy your breakfast. They can seat a large party for a birthday celebration or a lovely space for a girls’ trip breakfast.
This is a popular restaurant so it’s better to come during the weekday to avoid the long wait times on the weekends.
Foods to try: I love eggs benedict with a delicious hollandaise sauce so def try this. It’s served with country ham, English muffins, and tortillas de papa (Spanish has brown). You can’t go wrong with fluffy and soft banana pancakes and why not sip their crafted raspberry sangria to complete your meal?
Location: 3120 McKinney Ave, Uptown Dallas, Texas
Meddlesome Moth
This is a personal favorite restaurant of mine. I feel like you can’t go wrong here. It’s located in the art district of Dallas but it’s 5 minutes from uptown so it’s worth mentioning!
I’ve had brunch with a large group of women here so making reservations for a large table is easy. You know the food is good when the table is silent.
It would be perfect for a large family outing, meeting over breakfast or you’re just craving good #wellseasoned food in the morning.
Parking in Dallas is tough, but Meddlesome Moth has you covered with valet parking, so no worrying about where to park.
Foods to try: I’ve had the fried chicken biscuit and I would highly recommend it! The biscuit comes out warm, the honey butter is delicious and the chicken just falls apart easily and is what… #wellseasoned.
I love food where you can taste the flavors of the seasoning and with this simple dish, you get that. Another delicious recommendation would be the mother and child reunion paired with a mimosa or their house-made Sangria.
Location: 1621 Oak Lawn Ave Dallas, TX 75207

If you’re looking for a breakfast uptown Dallas adventure, you’re here. This restaurant located at the Crescent Courts Hotel is the perfect place to have a chic Texan experience.
You can have American classics and house specials bright and early. See some delicious opinions here.
You’ll have the opportunity to take in gorgeous views from their beautifully designed sunroom-inspired dining space. The vibe here is luxuryyyyy.
This restaurant would be the perfect location to host an event in uptown. You could have personalized menus made and an experience tailored to your goals.
Also, if you were solo traveling or going on a date, this is a great option.

Street’s Fine Chicken
If you’re looking for a southern-style breakfast, this is one great place to go. I’ve had the pleasure of eating here for brunch and I was impressed!
The food has great flavor. Everyone at the table (about 10 of us) was mmhing and awing the whole time.
What also added to the experience was the staff. The manager met our table and made himself available for any questions we had. They can accommodate the menu to fit different food preferences. One of the girls was vegetarian and they were able to meet her needs.
For groups big and small this is a great option. I would encourage you to call ahead to see if they have seating, they do not take reservations ahead of time.
If you’re alone in uptown, you’ll feel comfortable having breakfast here by yourself. If you’re having a breakfast date, this would be a great option as well.
Foods to try: I loved the chicken and waffle. I did something “crazy” and mixed the hot sauce with maple syrup to make a “hot chicken” and it was delicious. the waffle is perfect and the chicken is crunchy and juicy. You can tell it’s marinated well. The show bird is another great option to try. It has fried chicken with sweet potato string, pickled onions (delicious), and over-easy eggs. If you want something sweet, go for the brioche fresh toast that has a blackberry compote and is layered with sweet cream cheese.
Location: 3857 Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, TX 75219
Urban Donut
Urban donut is a unique experience in uptown because it’s a donut bar where you can customize your own donuts! Mind-blowing.
This is a sweet customizable breakfast experience. Grab a donut or two with some coffee right before you get on the trolley to tour uptown and downtown Dallas.
Foods to try: Your sweet tooth can easily be satisfied by the fresh donuts they have in stock or that you create yourself. Or… you can have one of their various breakfast sandwiches like their ham and cheese croissant, which can also be customized.
Location: 2805 Allen St, Dallas, TX 75204
Haywire Uptown
Where Texas and the city unite! Think ranch, cowboy boots, and whiskey… for breakfast. Haywire celebrates the different aspects of texas culture and sources foods locally grown in the state. Ranch to table.
This is a popular place, so it’s encouraged you reserve your table ahead of time. I always advise making your reservations ahead of time when traveling so you don’t get disappointed. I made a reservation just 45 minutes before arriving and I had no problem being seated.
I would suggest taking advantage of their $5 valet because parking can be hard to find, or expensive.
Foods to try: The Haywire ranch hand breakfast with applewood bacon, potatoes, eggs, cheddar, and bacon biscuits. The Cadillac brunch burger is delicious and filling with wagyu beef, bacon, red onions, pickles, and eggs all layered into a soft brioche bun. I tried the smoked fried chicken and waffles which has a cornbread cheese and jalapeno waffle, sausage gravy, and fried chicken. It was good, not what I expected, more due to the presentation, but overall my meal was good!

This uptown brunch spot gives off a very relaxed ad personable vibe. You may even meet the owner Miriam while you have brunch. She’s personable and enjoys making recommendations and talking with her customers.
Brunch is only available on the weekends from 11 am-3 pm, so this would be great for a weekend trip while you’re in Dallas. I would suggest making a reservation.
Foods to try: Try Miriam’s breakfast taco which has bacon, potatoes, and scrambled eggs or you can go vegan style by adding vegan chorizo. The breakfast brisket enchilada would also be a good choice.

Traveling to a new place and finding options that meet your dietary needs or others can be a challenge. I wanted to share this gluten-free breakfast option in uptown to help make planning your next trip a little easier.
The beauty of this place is they are committed to using organic and locally grown ingredients to make their dishes.
